Most of the apps listed on the Overview page can also be used at this stage. For example Excel or an equivalent spreadsheet app can be used to analyse and sort data. Information can be filed in Evernote folders with appropriate tags to allow sorting and grouping. The other note-taking apps could also be helpful. Mindmaps can be used to sort and colour code information collected.

  • Mindmeister - Good for a basic mindmap. (free - 3 maps but can screenshot & delete) Allows real time collaboration. Only the Pro version allows adding of images but the Pro subscription is expensive. Also available as a Google Apps add-on and in a browser. More info here.
  • Popplet Lite (one map free but can screenshot & delete). Also in web version that allows creation of one map or can subscribe to get more.  Popplet full $6.49 has unlimited maps. More info here. 
  • Inspiration Maps Lite ( free - 5 maps - can screenshot & delete) and Inspiration Maps $13.99 More info here.
  • Kidspiration Maps Lite (Free. Jnr version as for Inspiration) and Kidspiration $13.99. More info here.
  • Idea Sketch - Mind map but can also switch to a list view. 1 free map but you can screenshot and delete. Idea Sketch+ $3.99 gives unlimited  maps. More info here.
